According to a report prepared by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, the number of factory fires increased from 182 in 2020 to 321 in 2024, a 76.4% increase. Similarly, residential fires increased from 4,440 in 2020 to 6,047 by the end of 2024, a 36.2% increase.
