Prysmian Group Turkey Announces CPR – Construction Products Regulation in EBO 2016
Prysmian Group Turkey informed the sector representatives about the CPR-Construction Products Regulation in the seminar organized in the Electrical Technologies and Building Automation Fair (EBO 2016), which brings together the building industry, as well as exhibiting new technologies.
Electrical Technologies and Building Automation Fair (EBO 2016), one of the important organizations of Turkey in the field of electrical technologies and building automation systems, was held in Ankara Congresium between 24-27 November.
Prysmian Group Turkey welcomed visitors at its booth at the fair where a wide range of products and technologies from electrical technology to building automation, uninterrupted and alternative power sources, intelligent building systems, energy and telecommunication cables were exhibited. Within the exhibition, Prysmian Group Turkey also informed sector representatives at the seminar held on November 25th, on Friday about the CPR – Construction Products Regulation, which will become legally mandatory for the cables as of the date of July 1, 2017. Sector companies operating in the field of electricity and facilities management and dealing with the fields like electronics, informatics and software, employers, sector related people, academicians and university students attended to the exhibition.
At the seminar, Prysmian Group Turkey Marketing and Business Development Manager Tamer Yavuztürk stated that life and property safety are related to the performance of the materials used in the buildings during the fire and because of their being one of the materials used in the present day, the choice of cable plays a crucial and important role in building safe living areas. Yavuztürk pointed out that CPR - Construction Products Regulation is a turning point for upgrading the level of quality and safety in the European cable market and that the implementation of the EN 50575 standard, which becomes compulsory on July 1, 2017, Everyone from the cable producers in the chain, to the end user, has brought a serious responsibility to the Construction Products Regulation.
