Türk Prysmian Kablo announced its sustainable future vision by emphasizing its commitment to environmental responsibility, social responsibility, and innovation at its Sustainability Day event.

Türk Prysmian Kablo stated that it has made significant progress in its climate, innovation, and social focus targets, with its sustainability journey that it started in 2019, saying that “Sustainability is in our DNA”. Announcing that it aims to save 1,780 tons of carbon emission in 2023 with the projects it started in 2020 and the new projects it will commission for energy efficiency, Türk Prysmian Kablo actively continues its work to contribute to Prysmian Group's net-zero targets in scope-1 and scope-2 by 2035, and in scope 3 by 2050.

Türk Prysmian Kablo, the Turkish operation of Prysmian Group that is the world leader in the energy and telecommunication cables industry, shared its sustainability efforts with all its stakeholders at the "Sustainability Day" event it organized. Türk Prysmian Kablo shared its progress in its sustainability journey and the targets it set for 2023, as well as the work it has implemented in accordance with its vision of "Connecting the MEART Region to a Sustainable Future".

Sharing the innovations and future vision it offered to the sector in the field of sustainable cables, Türk Prysmian Kablo showed the importance it attaches to stakeholder participation in its sustainability journey by ensuring the participation of Sarkuysan Deputy General Manager Tolga Ediz, one of its stakeholders who carries out important work on sustainability, in the event.

Within the scope of the Sustainability Day, the sustainability ambassadors pf Türk Prysmian Kablo shared with the stakeholders the details of the company's activities in "climate, innovation, and social" fields, which are its 3 main focuses in this field.

The savings in carbon emissions achieved especially with the studies carried out on energy efficiency with a focus on climate were shared. Managing to save 215 tons of extra carbon emissions annually with new projects added to existing projects in 2022, Türk Prysmian Kablo announced that it aims to save 1,780 tons of carbon emissions by increasing this figure by 547 tons with its new projects planned for energy efficiency in 2023.

Türk Prysmian Kablo, which makes a difference with its innovation solutions in the sector with a focus on innovation, touched upon the methods it uses in the production phase to achieve sustainable products, material selection, and the importance of recycling in terms of sustainability.

In the field of social focus, it shared the company's targets for the number of female employees for gender equality and the prominent programs within the group to increase this rate.

Stating that Türk Prysmian Kablo continues to work determinedly in line with its climate, social, innovation, and role model targets, Türk Prysmian Kablo CEO Ülkü Özcan said, “As Prysmian Group, with the targets we set in line both with our work on compliance with the Paris Climate Agreement and the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTI), we achieved significant progress in the areas of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) in 2022.

As Türk Prysmian Kablo, we made decarbonizing production a priority with our sustainability journey that we started in 2019 and started working to support our group's net-zero target. Last year, we published our Türk Prysmian Kablo Sustainability Report for the first time, which brings together all our goals and efforts and sheds light on our sustainability activities and performance throughout the year. We will continue to publish our report, which we prepared with great effort, this year as well.”
