Türk Prysmian Kablo introduces Eco Cable, the first green label in the cable industry, at the 2023 EIF Fair

The 17th EIF World Energy Congress and Fair, one of the most important industry trade fairs for Türkiye's renewable energy industry, was held at Istanbul Expo Center between 15-17 November with the slogan "Energy is Future".

At the fair, where more than 300 local and foreign companies from the energy sector participated, national and international energy and public service leaders, NGOs, financing and investment decision-makers, who strive for a common goal in renewable energy in the world's road map to net-zero, came together with leading service solution providers of renewable energy. Supporting the renewable energy sector with the efficient and environmentally friendly cables it offers, Türk Prysmian Kablo launched Eco Cable, the first green label in the cable industry, at its booth at the fair. In addition, Türk Prysmian Kablo Material Technologies Manager Özlem Hacıoğlu shared all the details about Eco Cable with industry professionals during the presentation she made within the scope of the fair.

6 criteria in the field of sustainability are met with Eco Cable

In order for a cable to be defined as an environmentally friendly cable known as "Eco Cable", it must meet 6 criteria. Accordingly, it must meet criteria such as calculating its carbon footprint, not containing highly toxic substances, the materials used being recyclable or the products being potentially completely recyclable, providing environmental benefits such as being used for renewable energy or using low-carbon products, and finally being an efficient cable.
