Prysmian Group Turkey links the continents with Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and Northern Marmara Highway
Prysmian Group Turkey is now linking the continents with the cables and the high technology that it gave to Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and the Northern Marmara Motorway, with its mission of "Linking Turkey to the Future". LSOH and FE180 low voltage, medium voltage, low current and fiber optics cables which do not generate flames during the fire, do not create dense smoke layer and do not create a corrosion friendly environment and thus provide the highest level of life and property safety, were used in these projects worth about 10 million pounds.
Worldwide leading company in energy and telecommunication cables sector Prysmian Group’s Turkey operation Prysmian Group Turkey added value to Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and Northern Marmara Highway projects where Asia and Europe meet for the third time, with its fire resistant LSOH low voltage, medium voltage and fiber optic cables. High technology energy cables worth about 10 million pounds comes out with their halogen free, low smoke density, fire resistant spesifications.
Prysmian Group Turkey, besides low voltage, medium voltage and low current cables of type LSOH and FE180 which do not generate flames during fire, do not create a dense smoke layer, do not create a corrosion friendly environment and thus provides the highest level of life and property safety; also supplied mini fiber optic cables and multi-tubular piping systems that can be blown out of these cables, as well as their accessories in a package. Thus, if there is a need in the future, with multi-tubular piping systems, it will be enabled to be floored micro-tubes that are idle in the system will be blown out with a specially produced mini-cables. In addition, the addition of fiber optic cables to each other was done with Prysmian Group's CMJ compact product instead of the heat shrinkable additional technology used in Turkey.

Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, built under the Northern Marmara Motorway Project and having the world's widest bridge title, is located on the Odayeri-Pasaköy section of 148 km long. There are a total of 10 transport lanes in the center of the bridge, 4 road lanes and 2 railway lanes in the direction of departure and arrival.
The bridge is also the first in the world thanks to the rail system on it. The bridge, which measures 59 meters in width and 322 meters in tower height, has also a record in this regard. The bridge, which has a length of 408 meters and a total length of 2,174 meters, is characterized by "the longest suspension bridge in the world with a rail system". Daily 135 thousand vehicles are expected to pass in the bridge.
