Türk Prysmian Kablo CEO Daniele Mazzarella gave a speech at the Italy-Türkiye Business Forum: "Türk Prysmian Kablo will continue to be the leader in energy transition and digital transformation in Türkiye and beyond."

The Türkiye-Italy 4th Intergovernmental Summit, aimed at strengthening cooperation between Türkiye and Italy, was held in Rome on April 29 with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni together with high level business and institutional representatives. 

The Italy-Türkiye Business Forum became an important platform shaping the future of economic partnership between the two countries. Organized in collaboration with DEİK/Türkiye-Italy Business Council and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), the forum hosted panels and sectoral sessions in strategic areas such as defense, infrastructure, sustainable energy, circular economy, and advanced manufacturing technologies. During the forum events, Daniele Mazzarella, CEO of Türk Prysmian Kablo, gave a speech. 

"Our cables produced in Mudanya are used in Italy's major energy transition projects." 

Emphasizing that the ties between Türkiye and Italy are not only economic but also a strategic partnership, Mazzarella said, "We have a continuous transfer of know-how, best practices and resources between our HQs in Italy and Türk Prysmian Kablo. We also see the economic interaction between Türkiye and Italy as a 'partnership of the future.' We increased our mutual business volume from approximately 15 million euros in 2023 to 23 million euros in 2024. The foundation of this growth lies in our contributions to strategic projects. As an example, we support Italy's energy transformation projects, Adriatic Link and Tyrrhenian Link, with medium voltage cables produced in Türkiye." "Our Mudanya facility has also an accredited R&D Centre and the Global Manufacturing Academy for the Group."

Providing information about our activities in Türkiye, Mazzarella said, "In our facility established in 1964 in Mudanya (Bursa), which covers an area of 180,000 square meters, we work with a specialized team of approximately 600 people. Moreover, this is not only a production facility but also an R&D center accredited by TÜRKAK and serves as Prysmian's Global Manufacturing Academy. With this strong infrastructure, we not only meet Türkiye's current needs but also build the future." 

"Recent support highlights Türkiye's importance." 

Touching on Prysmian's future strategies for Türkiye, Mazzarella said, "We are a solution partner in various fields such as high voltage power lines, submarine cable connections, renewable energy, construction and infrastructure investments, railway and metro lines. Last month, Prysmian provided 55 million euros in credit support for our working capital and investments in Türkiye. This support represents our group's confidence in Türkiye and its long-term vision."
