Türk Prysmian Kablo draws attention to occupational safety with Behavior-Oriented Security Management

The pioneer of the cable industry, Türk Prysmian Kablo has implemented the Behavior-Oriented Safety Management program within the framework of its zero and beyond approach to reduce occupational accidents.

Within the scope of the program, which is expected to be completed in three years, all employees will serve as both observers and observees and will receive different training.

Keeping always the health, welfare, and safety of its employees at the highest level, Türk Prysmian Kablo has implemented the Behavior-Oriented Safety Management program with the aim of reducing accidents and injuries that may occur in the workplace to zero.

With the program that aims to minimize occupational accidents that may occur within Türk Prysmian Kablo and create a safe working environment by making occupational safety a part of the company culture, special programs are created for Managers, Observers, and Employees. Within the scope of the program, which is planned to be completed in a three-year period, awareness will be raised by targeting the participation and awareness of all employees.

Details of the Behavior-Oriented Security Management program were shared at an event held with the participation of employees. At the event where the importance of occupational safety was explained through theatrical performances, Türk Prysmian Kablo employees promised that they would comply with all occupational safety measures in order to prevent occupational accidents.

Training from management staff to the field

Stating that every employee, from the management staff to the field, would receive training in the Behavior-Oriented Security Management program, Ülkü Özcan said, “This program is not only training, but also a journey designed to include all employees, starting from the top. In this journey, we learn to observe, ask the right questions, and detect the right behavior without criticizing each other. We are very pleased with the support we received from our employees during this process. With the Behavior-Oriented Safety Management program, all our employees heard our management's commitment loudly and remembered once again that occupational safety is a very important value of ours."

The first company in the cable industry to receive the ISO 45001 certificate, Türk Pyrsmian Kablo has taken permanent actions regarding occupational safety and carried out systematic studies for many years, ensuring that its employees have received training within the scope of occupational safety. In addition, within the framework of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, the environmental impacts of all services received and activities carried out by the company are determined, and studies are constantly carried out to eliminate or minimize these impacts. Environmental and Occupational Safety Policy, as determined by the senior management, in line with the continuous improvement philosophy.
