The Prysmian Group, world leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry, launched the Global Sustainability Academy involving 29,000 employees in over 50 countries. The initiative aims to promote the culture of sustainability within the entire corporate population worldwide and strengthen the Group's efforts towards its climate and social ambitions.
Launched in Oman, one of the countries in the MEAT Region which also includes Turkey, the Sustainability Academy will offer the curricula of top-ranked international business schools. The Academy will also encourage the better adoption of sustainability culture and competencies, which are among the strategic drivers of business competitiveness, by the employees.
The course structure, which will include lessons throughout 2023, is divided into five modules – Awareness, Knowledge, Impact, Leadership and KPIs – based on audience. The first module, Impact, covered "how to innovate on sustainability and spread sustainability in organizations" with the participation of 30 managers from all over the world in a three-day program. The module courses will be delivered to the entire company population through a hybrid format: via physical or online participation, or podcasts.
“With an Academy of Sustainability in Oman, we want to contribute to the development of distinctive skills, creating value through positive business models based on the growth and empowerment of our human capital, to encourage a diversified and inclusive system open to new perspectives and to promote the capacity to innovate by training the sustainable leaders of the future." said Cinzia Farisè, CEO at Prysmian Group MEAT Region.

We will be able to provide many of our bright people we employ in Turkey with learning and development opportunities thanks to the Global Sustainability Academy. We'll continue producing innovative and original work that leads the way for our industry this year too.”

For each of these topics, different targets to 2030 have been identified to further align the Group with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
